2005 Sherwood Homecoming

We Have Closed Off the streets, thur traffic is being routed around town

 

Some have not heard of are street closing, it's only going to get worse as the day goes by.

The Village had a parade to celebrate the day.

Fairview High School Marching Band

Sherwood United Methodist Church

The Parade started at the old School grounds and continued through the downtown area

People powered floats as well

Old farm tractors are part of all the parades in this area.

Many treat were handed out during the parade

Many of the town folk took up viewing the parade from porches

The Sherwood Homecoming was held downtown this year on Saturday June 25th, 2005. Amy Murphy from The Sherwood Lions Club provided us with the following line-up of events for the homecoming.

8:00-11:00—Gene Bok Memorial Health Fair and Diabetes Screening Day at the Sherwood Village Fire Department 

9:00-12:00—Friends of the Sherwood Library Wedding Album Display at the Sherwood Branch Library

11:00-2:00—Light Lunch-snacks at the Sherwood Village Fire Department

11:00-7:00—50/50 Raffle throughout the downtown

12:00-9:00—Rides and Games throughout the downtown

1:30-2:00—Parade Line-Up at the old Sherwood School parking lot

2:00-3:00—Parade from the old school through the downtown

4:00-7:00—Dinner at the Sherwood Village Fire Department

4:00-7:00—Chinese Raffle in the downtown

6:00-8:00--Bingo at the Sherwood VFW

8:00-11:00—Street Dance (DJ) on the main downtown street
