World's Longest Yard Sale
Sherwood area residents are
looking forward to their
fourth year of participation
in the "World's Longest Yard
Sale" Thursday, August 5 to
Sunday, August 8. The route
127 corridor sales run 675
miles from Hudson, Michigan
to Gadsen, Alabama.
In addition to residents
hosting sales at their homes
along U.S. 127, multiple
vendors will be set up at
the Little Reservation
Station playground (former
location of Sherwood
Elementary School), along
with farmers market vendors.
Spaces for vendors are 20 by
20 feet and are available
for $40. Those from
Sherwood and elsewhere
wishing to rent a space may
contact Michael Sudholtz at
419-899-2908. Proceeds from
space rentals will be used
for local park improvements.
Nearby, at the United
Methodist Church, lunch will
be served and there will be
an indoor sale. Travelers
can enjoy the convenience of
indoor plumbing and air
conditioning during the
church event which will run
from Thursday through
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. And this is just the
tip of the iceberg, more
yard sales can be found in
the village and by heading
north towards Bryan or south
to Paulding.
