    The Friends of the Sherwood Library have announced the publication of a second book titled "A Sherwood Scrapbook: Volume II". The book is the second published in their series on Sherwood Ohio history, is 110 pages and includes thirty-two photos. Enthusiastic members researched, wrote and compiled the book while Sherwood area residents supplied the old photos that complement the articles. The cover features a color photo of an oil painting of the old Bend Bridge painted by area artist and historian, Louis Simonis.

    Volume II continues with more of what everyone likes to read about Sherwood including chapters on: Early People, Censuses and Businesses; Roads, Streets and Buildings; Planes, Trains and Automobiles; Organizations; Entertainment, Sports and Celebrations; and Bad Weather, Fire and Man-Made Disasters. Material was taken from the pages of old Sherwood Chronicles and various other newspapers.

    A Sherwood Scrapbook: Volume I was published in the fall of 2004 in celebration of Ohio’s Bicentennial. It includes Scraps of Sherwood History, Time Line of Early Events, Buildings & Businesses, Early Doctors and Dentists, Spiritualists Time Line, Writers, Historical Figures, Sports Heroes, and War Heroes.
