Christmas for Kids Program
Sherwood Marathon was the hot
spot in Sherwood Ohio today as Charlie and Gang began there collection drive for
the Christmas for Kids Program sponsored by 98.1 WDFM. The fundraiser started at
11 am with Charlie Speiser in her Santa suit and Dave Hire with a live radio
feed from 98.1. They spent the next 3 hours collecting Toys and money donations
from many local businesses, residents, and organizations.
Ask Charlie this evening how
they did today and she replied "Oh my, just wonderful, we had so many businesses
and organizations dropping off donations it was just great. Sherwood Elementary
dropped off more than $500 in donations collected at school, TC & Sons with a
$100 donation and so many more" Charlie was so excited by the turn out, I
actually found her short on words and that
does not happen very often.

Charlie said Thank you to all who donated and if you wish to donate
something you may drop it by the station. The Collection barrels will be
here till mid-December. |
