New Sherwood Postmaster

Sherwood Post Office has a new Postmaster, Darla Kilgore. Darla comes to Sherwood with over 20 year of experience in the Postal service. In 1985 she started her career as a carrier in Lima. After 90 days in Lima she transferred to the Ada post office where she spent the next 12 years as a carrier. The opportunity came along to go inside, she made her move and served as an officer in charge. After a few more transfers to Cecil, Latty, and a few other Post Office positions, she was accepted to take on the post of Sherwood Postmaster.

The Sherwood Postmaster position was left vacant in February when Ruth Barber retired with more than 20 years of service. Stop by the Sherwood Post Office and say hello to Darla and give her a big Sherwood welcome.

One of Darla's jobs as the new postmaster is to see that the Flag is put up in the mornings and taken down at quitting time.
