Delaware Bend Access Open
Although
the cat fishing is not up to full steam yet, you will find the Delaware Bend
Bridge Access open to the public. The Access is an area that was rebuilt to
accommodate the public fisherman just north of the new Bend Bridge. The old
access was on the south side of the old bridge and was removed to allow the new
Delaware Bend Bridge to be straightened.
The grass has been planted and is coming up
nicely with the weather change. The County workers have added several trees in
the area. You will find several parking spots available and a turn around if you
are just driving around to check things out. Many piles of wood debris can be
found in the area due to recent high water, which should make it nice for the
all nighter fisherman. Get a chance, stop out and check it out.
